REVELATION: A Panorama of the Gospel Age - Second Revised Edition
Fred P. Miller, 1993
Those who believe that the gospel of Christ will triumph on the earth before the Lord returns (or would like to believe this) should read this book. Since the mid 1960s Miller, who has studied and lectured extensively on five continents, has gone on record as saying that a vast spiritual revival would break out in Southern Russia (Ukraine) before the return of Christ. Current happenings in that part of the world seem to verify the author's understanding of prophecy. Miller's Panorama takes the classic "historical" view of Revelation. He sees a natural, sequential historical parallel in the seven seals, trumpets, and bowls. The seventh bowl, Miller believes, was poured out into the air in the mid 1960s existential thought which temporarily dethroned established Christian beliefs. In spite of existentialism's many abuses, however, Miller sees the personal freedom to think for oneself as being used to eventually defeat the three great enemies of Christianity: secular atheism (Marxism), the Papacy, and resurgent Islam. The author points to Revelation 20:8 (cf. Ezekiel 39:6) as proof that a worldwide revival will begin in "Magog," ancient Scythia (now South Russia, or Ukraine). "The current bleak outlook for the church in western Europe and the United States is due for a change to the victory side," writes Miller. "The Ukraine is the place pinpointed where the intervention of God will begin" (p. 230). The 330-page book contains several valuable special studies and a number of helpful maps, charts, and tables. I
recommend this book to all interested students of Revelation and those who desire the conversion of Russia and
the nations to Christ.
