This is the first book in the Midweek Commentary Series. Bro. Carl decided to "follow the route" of the leading of the Holy Spirit in Paul. It is generally acknowledged that these were his first two books. They are ESSENTIAL to the "new believer" in Christ Jesus, and are presented as such. They are given "verse by verse", commenting on all words, ideas, statements, and doctrines within the LIGHT and UNDERSTANDING of Pauline dispensationalism. The words of the HOLY SCRIPTURES, as found printed in the AV Bible, are PRESERVED by the Holy Spirit through translation. They are "without" proven error, IDENTIFIED by "those who hear his words", and ILLUMINATED as the words of God, and NOT the words of men! (1 Thess.2:13).

Counter and counterfeit doctrines will be looked at, while noting errors in "thinking" and divergence from the text of the King James Bible. This series will be written in a "highly" doctrinal style, but also GIVES FOCUS to the "practical" nature of the book with "preaching-style" commentary.

1 and 2 Thessalonians are the FOUNDATIONAL books for the doctrine of the gathering of the body of Christ, proving conclusively that Paul received the MYSTERY of the gathering EARLY in his ministry, and had taught the "blessed hope and glorious appearing" of the Lord Jesus Christ "pretribulationally", due to the FALL of Israel.

The "mistakes" of the hyperdispensationalists (Bullinger, Stam, Sadler) along with the falsehoods of yesteryear and modern-day posttribulationists (Ladd, Gundry, Tim Warner, C.H. Fisher)along with the prewrath rapturists (Rosenthal, VanKampen, Nigro) are noted. The error of the preweek rapture as taught by Walvoord, Ryrie, and LeHaye is also discussed.

Careful attention is given to the book, for many doctrines of the Pauline ministry are noted somewhere within the two Thessalonian epistles. There will be TWO major "reilluminations" presented within this book for the body of Christ. They concern the MYSTERY OF INIQUITY which no one has exegetically explained throughly.(The bruising of Satan's head, which explains the "disputed" phrase within 2 Thess.2.) They are connected to the MIDDAY APPEARING of the Lord Jesus Christ at the MIDWEEK GATHERING of the body of Christ.
