AUTHOR PROFILE
John F. Walvoord (1910-2002) is considered one of America's most influential theologians and one of the primary architects of the contemporary study of the end times. His interpretations of biblical prophecy have influenced many of today's scholars and leaders, and have contributed to the creation of such best-selling works as the Left Behind Series.
The author of more than twenty books, Dr. Walvoord served as president of Dallas Theological Seminary from 1952 to 1986. He held advanced degrees from Dallas Theological Seminary and Texas Christian University as well as honorary doctorate degrees from Wheaton College and Liberty Baptist Seminary.
